District
Public Speaking Winners
Congratulations
to those who placed in the recent District Public
Speaking Contest. Lauren Walker and Clay Stazenski
both placed 1st and Melissa Smith placed 2nd. All
will be competing in the upcoming state contest
at State FFA Leadership Contest in June. Congratulations
guys.

2006 National Winners
Eddie
Andert was awarded frirst place and a gold medal in
the Zoology division at the 2006 National Convention
in Indianapollis for his agriscience project studying
the effects of stocking density on the growth rate of
fish.
Caleigh Hill
was awarded a silver medal for her agriscience project in
the Biotechnology division.
Kayla Peck was
awarded a silver medal in prepared public speaking for her
speech.
Jamie
Evans, Amanda Walker and Scott Fitterer recieved American
Degrees.

FFA
Awards
Throughout
the course of history, awards have always been given to
those who's outstanding achivements were in need of recognition.
The FFA has many awards to recognise those who's exeptional
accomplishments have set them apart from the rest.
Proficiency
awards are awarded to FFA members with exellent accomplshments
in their SAE. Proficiency
awards come at many different levels. Form a local to national
level, members compete aqainst one another across the nation
for the abiltiy to call themselves "Proficient."
The following are the four Proficiency Award areas.
- Placement
-Working for someone else such as a parent or boss.
- Entrepreneurship
- The operation of your own business.
- Research -
Conducting research on something in the field of agriculture.
- Exploratory
- Learning about the agriculture industry and its many
elements.
