Chino Valley HIgh School and Ag Teacher FFA Advisor wins Ag Teacher of the Year
Mr. Patrick Wellert won the Ag Teacher of the Year award for the 2009 year. Congradulations to Mr. Wellert on winning this award, he is a wonderful teacher who will help students accomplish anything.

SLC 2009
SLC was held in June at the University of Arizona in Tucson. At SLC this year those that attended were able to participate in various leadership activities as well as competitions. Attendees were Brent Simpson, Melissa Smith, Jordan Williams, Meghan Harris, Eddie Andert, Andrea Schnieder, Lauren Walker, and Caleigh Hill.
Lauren Walker, Eddie Andert, and Melissa Smith all won awards at SLC. Melissa Smith went on to National Convention for prepared public speaking.
National Convention 2009
SIx members from the Chino Valley FFA Chapter attended National Convention this year in Indiana. The were able to go on different tours and sessions to gain better knowledge about agriculture.

CDE Day
District CDE Day was held at the Yavapai College Campus in Chino Valley on November 18th. We had many members competing in speaking events.
Jodi Narvesen (right-top) placed first in expertanous speaking for the Black Canyon District.
JP Levie (right-bottom) placed 2nd in the information contest for the Black Canyon District.
